Daria received her B.S. in Chemistry in 2014 from the University of California, San Diego. She then went on to complete her PhD at Yale University, working with Prof. Tim Newhouse on the total synthesis of several natural products from the indole diterpenoid family. She went on to be an NIH Postdoctoral Fellow in the laboratory of Prof. Laura Kiessling at MIT where she  developed new methods for site-selective labeling of complex glycans, prior to beginning her independent career at Vanderbilt.
