Drew was born and raised in San Diego, California. He earned his B.A. in Biochemistry from Claremont McKenna College, where he was a member of the men’s varsity swim and developed novel hydroamination methods using earth-abundant transition metals as a member of Dr. Anna Wenzel’s group. Outside of the lab, Drew enjoys exploring new hiking trails, playing golf, working out at the Vanderbilt Recreation Center, and surfing when back home.
